For dress up clothes, you should collect lots of costumes (no doubt you have lots of halloween costumes and accessories that were only used once or twice) you have around the house. Also, any play clothes or dress up clothes your daughters already have such as scarves, necklaces, capes, old dresses, play high heels for dress up shoes, bracelets, etc.

An additional option is to get some cool discount fabric and no-stitch glue (so you don’t have to sew anything). Make fabulous skirts, capes, scarves, dresses, kerchiefs, etc. You can use glittery fabric for princess dresses, plain brown cloth to make peasant clothes, etc. for dress up games.

A really great inspiration for girls dress up games is nursery rhymes and fairytales. So, you can use your witch costume from Halloween to be a wicked witch and your daughter can be the princess. Or you can transform your daughter from poor peasant to beautiful Cinderella dressed for the ball. You can even dress up as the fairy godmother! You can be Snow White and your daughter could dress up as one of the dwarfs. The possibilities are endless – the more kids you have, the more characters you’ll have to play out the stories, do plays, etc. You could also dress up as characters and then read the story aloud.

Play celebrity dress up games where your daughter pretends to be ICarly or Hannah Montana – use sunglasses, cowboy boots, a fake guitar if you have one, and/or a karaoke machine. Play kid dress up by transforming your youngsters into their favorite tv character.
